Restaurateur, Chef and TV Personality
Nick Munier is a much loved Restaurateur, Chef and TV Personality – having worked as a Judge on RTE’s Masterchef Ireland and ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen. Nick has worked with many of the most respected and esteemed chefs in the world along with working in some of Britain and Irelands most high profile establishments.
Having begun his career with the Roux brothers in La Gavroche, Nick went on to spend much of his professional career working with renowned Michelin Star Chef Marco Pierre White spanning a 12 year period in the Hyde Park Hotel, The Oak Rooms, The Criterion and Holland Park gaining a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in the restaurant industry. After holding the position of Manager in Ireland’s only two star Michelin restaurant Patrick Guilbauds, Nick pursued and succeeded in his ultimate quest in life – to open his own restaurant, which he did in Pichet in 2009 & Avenue by Nick Munier in 2015.
Nick is passionate about food, excellence in service and writing – having written his own account of over 20 years’ experience at front of house in his booking “Boiling Point: adventures in the restaurant game”. Keen to nurture, develop and educate in the ways of quality service and excellence in food, Nick also provides consultancy to new and existing businesses that wish to utilise his extensive knowledge of over 25 years in the sector.
When he is not working, Nick loves to spend his spare time enjoying his other 2 passions in life – Art and Music.
